2025-2026
Years 7-10 Scheme of Work

Sparx Maths was introduced to St Joseph's College in September 2024, primarily as a platform for the delivery of high quality personalised weekly homework. During the academic year steps were made to begin transitioning students onto the Sparx Maths curriculum and assessments ready for September 2025.

For the academic year 2025-2026 all year 7 to 10 students will be following the Sparx Maths curriculum. This transition will allow us to make full use of the platform’s powerful features, which are designed to support student progress through personalised learning and targeted assessment. You can find more information about the Sparx curriculum on their Curriculum Overview page and in their Curriculum Statement

Year 11 Scheme of Work & Archived Y7-10 SoW

Update Sep 2025: This Scheme of Work (SoW) is currently being used for the 2025-2026 Year 11 cohort only. All lower year groups are transitioning into the Sparx Maths curriculum shown above. The full SoW will remain accessible on this site, as it provides a large number of structured additional resources which may be used as teaching or revision aids, alongside the Sparx Maths curriculum. It also links video tutorials, which can be used as an additional resource to support students who have been absent or joined the college in the middle of the year. The KS3 objectives are largely supported by CorbettMaths resources and the KS4 objectives by Maths Genie resources.

Rungs coloured Green are linked to Corbett Maths and those in Pink, Maths Genie.
